There are several different types of rubber stamps to choose from, depending on your needs.  They can be found in just about any shape needed, too. The basic colors for the ink are, blue, black, green, red and violet. 

• Self inking stamp- The inkpad is built right in the rubber stamp and can easily be re-inked.  The die plate sits right in the ink pad and is flipped to make the impression.  This is the most commonly used rubber stamp today.  It is the least expensive, as well.
   
• Pre-inked Stamp-This stamp has the die embedded right into the rubber stamp.  It is put through a heating process and that makes it difficult to re-ink. In turn, it also makes it expensive to purchase.
   
• Flash Stamp-Similar to the pre-inked rubber stamp only a little easier to be re-inked.  There is a special thin membrane on the stamp that can be re-inked by a special re-inking machine.  This factor makes it more expensive to purchase. 
   
• Traditional Hand Stamp-This is the old fashioned rubber stamp.  The first to be created.  The ink pad is separate from the rubber stamp.  The advantage to this rubber stamp is that any size can be made for this.  And it is one of the least expensive to purchase.
   
• Custom Rubber Stamp-This is where the consumer can get creative with his/her own logo, picture, etc. Obviously, they are more expensive to purchase.
